Hospitality-first, always

Showdown Supperclub is powered by a close-knit team of hospitality professionals who share a love of contemporary Australian dining, crafted drinks, and easygoing social connection. From the kitchen pass to the front desk, our focus is simple: warm service, beautifully prepared food, and a relaxed, premium atmosphere.

Dining, drinks, and social poker in harmony

Our chefs, front-of-house leaders, bar team, and poker night host work together to ensure that every in-person poker evening feels like a natural extension of your night out, never the whole story. Food, drinks, and conversation remain at the heart of the experience.

Responsible, in-venue entertainment

Poker at Showdown Supperclub is strictly a social, venue-based experience. Sessions are hosted by trained staff, follow clear house guidelines, and are available only to guests aged 18 and over. We do not offer online play, betting accounts, or remote wagering of any kind.

Front-of-House Manager

Our Front-of-House Manager is the conductor of the dining room, ensuring every guest feels recognised, comfortable, and unhurried from arrival to last round. From reservations and seating to pacing of courses, they fine-tune the experience to suit each table.

They mentor the host and floor teams to deliver warm welcomes, clear communication, and intuitive service, making it easy for guests to relax into the coastal club atmosphere—whether dining for two, catching up with friends, or joining a scheduled social poker evening after dinner.

Venue & Hospitality Team

Our hospitality team on the floor, at the bar, and behind the scenes share a commitment to relaxed, attentive service. You will see them guiding guests to tables, explaining menu highlights, checking dietary needs, and keeping the atmosphere bright but unpretentious.

They understand that the best nights out are about people, not pressure. Their goal is to ensure that every table feels looked after—whether you are here for a long lunch, a family celebration, or a weeknight dinner that stretches pleasantly into the evening.

Poker Night Host

Our Poker Night Host is professionally trained, welcoming, and focused on keeping each scheduled social poker session friendly, structured, and responsible. They greet players, explain house rules, answer questions, and maintain a relaxed tone throughout the evening.

The host works in step with the restaurant and bar teams so that guests can move naturally between dinner, drinks, and the felt-topped tables. Sessions are social in nature, held only on-site at Showdown Supperclub, and run in line with relevant Australian state or territory guidance.

Private Events Coordinator

From corporate dinners and presentations to milestone birthdays and group celebrations, our Private Events Coordinator is your single point of contact. They listen carefully to what you are planning, recommend menu formats, and help shape the flow of the evening.

Whether you would like an intimate shared-table feast, a semi-private corner of the dining room, or a poker-themed social package hosted in our lounge, they collaborate with the Chef, bar, and host teams to keep planning simple and the event itself beautifully organised.

Bar & Beverage Team

Our bar and beverage team brings together talented mixologists, wine lovers, and non-alcoholic specialists who understand that drinks should support the meal, not overpower it. Their list features bright coastal cocktails, Australian-focused wines, and thoughtful zero-ABV options for guests who are not drinking.

They work closely with the kitchen to match flavour profiles, suggest pairings, and keep service steady throughout busy evenings—including our social poker nights, where table service and clear limits help guests enjoy their experience responsibly.

Kitchen Brigade

Behind every plate is a coordinated team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen professionals who keep each service running smoothly. The brigade prepares, tastes, and refines dishes throughout the day, working with the Executive Chef to maintain consistent quality and seasonal expression.

Food safety and kitchen discipline are non-negotiable. The team follows rigorous standards across preparation, storage, and service so that guests can simply enjoy what arrives on the table—whether ordering a quick bar snack or a full multi-course meal.

Meet the Owners

Showdown Supperclub was founded by a small group of friends with a shared love of modern Australian food, long lunches by the coast, and relaxed social gatherings that stretch happily into the evening. Their vision was never to build a casino—it was to create a welcoming dining club where great food, conversation, and in-person entertainment sit comfortably together.

They are actively involved in the day-to-day life of the venue, from shaping the wine list to reviewing responsible-play messaging. Their guiding principle is simple: every guest should feel safe, welcome, and free to enjoy the experience at their own pace.
